Wilco Airbus serie 1. Cockpit glass is black as coal / Grey.

Featured Replies

I just bought Wilco / Feeltheres airbus serie volume 1.And I have discovered that the colour of the cockpit glass / WIndows, is either black or grey.I emailed wilco support and got this answer:"Dear Customer, This problem occurs with other add-ons after having installed FSX Acceleration Pack and/or FSX SP2. Disabling the Direct X 10 Preview feature will solve this. Please do not install the FSX SP2 if you already installed Acceleration pack. Please load the aircraft under the 2D mode and then after switch to 3D mode (Virtual Cockpit). Best regards, Wilco Publishing [email protected] "I have neither Acelaration installed nor DX10 preview turned on.I tried the 2D -> 3D panel solution, and that didnt work either.I have the volume 2 from Wilco, and theres absolutly no problems there.Does anyone know how to fix this? :-)Pictures stating the problem:http://img503.imageshack.us/my.php?image=grty9.jpghttp://img233.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sortfr6.jpgEdit, ahhh. I ment the cockpit glass, the large windows the pilots see through. :(Not the glass instruments.

Bad luck for you, I've got the same problem, which was reported since december 2007 both using feelthere forums and Wilco support by half a dozen of people at least judging by the forums, and we always get the same ridiculous answer.I have reported the problem on 6 different occasions, and EACH TIME, they send me back their generic answer, the same as the one you received. Then, I give them details, demonstrate how ridiculous their answer is (they talk about DX10 but the support form I fill already tells them I'm on XP, go figure), and then......then you'll be royally ignored - you can report the same thing a few months later, they'll answer to you with the same ridiculous answer, which really shows that once your $$ are in their pocket, they treat you like an idiot. So, do the same as me, never again buy any of their products - it's like I didn't give them 6 times to demonstrate that they were caring, were able of any king of politeness or respect for their client. As regards Feelthere, they lock the topics and they do not even answer to a polite PM, not even a simple answer like "we know we're working on it" or "we're to busy", they just simply never reply. A thief in the streets would be more communicative than them.As regards the ugly windshields texture bug, it's painful for the wallet but I will fix it by buying Airsimmer airbus (and bye bye wilco ejets)

I think what the OP was referring to is the texture of the windshield seen from the external view: it's not transparent as it should be for most models, but grey/blueish or pure black, which is really annoying, reported by several users (and in my case tested on different computers) but unresolved.EDIT: pictures speak better than words, here are links to the problemhttp://forum.iemit.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=619http://www.iemit.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10398I've tried to fix the textures by myself, as I did for other SP2 related problems with FS9 models ported to FSX, but in the case of Airbus vol 1 I couldn't find what to edit to alter the windshield transparency. If anyone is competent in pointing to the correct file and what to edit, it would be wonderful.
