Basic controls OK, but no switches, knobs etc work

Featured Replies

A new problem appeared at FS2020. Basic controls, engines, etc work, but no switches, knobs, FMS, etc, can be operated. Tried with several aircrafts and no way.- Is there a fix to it ? Thanks

The problem is only related to mouse clickable switches, knobs, etc.- Those switches or knobs which are mapped to yoke, quadrant or pedals works OK

When you hover over a switch with the mouse, does the the mouse cursor change to a hand? Does the mouse work when selecting menu options, etc.?

You said this is a new problem, what changes or additions to the sim did you make just before the problem started?

Yes, the hand and the blue enlighten are present when clicking. The only change I remenber is an issue I recently had when I went back to a restore point due to a malware which couldnt be eliminated.- Once restored, I lost my MS 2020 and 2024 executables, which reappeared via the repair option included at the Windows 11 installed aplications page.

A number of us have recently experienced having our keyboard go 'dead' as far as the sim is concerned, and I wonder if the cause of your mouse problem is related to that somehow. Restarting the sim or computer seemed to fix the dead keyboard issue. See:

Not my case.- Restarting the sim or the PC didnt fix the issue, and the problem is not keyboard related

Found the cause, it was the mouse setting at controls, I set it at default and the problem was gone.
