October 6, 200817 yr Hi everyone - originally posted in the Panel forum without success :(I would very much like to add an autobrake switch to a panel...This I can do however, when I click on the switch nothing moves! Does not arm... Clearly I am missing something but what!?Any help advice gratefully revieved! Also when I am flying (all the time) the wind indicator on the PFD always seems to 'jerk' as does the airspeed tape?Any clues?Cheers all! October 7, 200817 yr Regarding wind:Do you mean that the wind will be like 100 knots one way and then 100 knots the other way in the blink of an eye? If so, that's the nature of the "cell"-driven weather system in MSFS. As you travel from one weather region to another (think of them as cells), there's little to no smoothing of the weather boundaries in the default sim. Some add-ons will claim to fix this problem, but I am not using anything myself that solves this issue to any real extent.Jeff ShylukAssistant Managing EditorSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM
October 8, 200817 yr Sorry, i dont have any suggestions about your autobrake problem either. As for the wind the only solution that I know of is to purchase the excellent FSUIPC 4.It has an option to smooth winds, which basically means it changes the direction the winds blowing in increments of degree. This solved major problems i was having flying heavies at high flight levels. Before hand the plane was getting blown all over the show.

Does not arm... Clearly I am missing something but>what!?You need to add an entry to the aircraft.cfg file section indicating that autobrakes are installed... The last number indicates how many "settings" the autobrake gauge has. For example:Airbus A321( auto_brakes = 3 )Boeing 737-800( auto_brakes = 4 )The entry looks like this:{brakes} // use 'square brackets' here!auto_brakes = 4 Fr.
