August 5, 2025Aug 5 I'm running Pilot2ATC v3 and have encountered persistent issues getting selected approach procedures to load into the flight plan. My workflow involves importing a SimBrief-generated file into X-Plane 12, then importing that plan into Pilot2ATC. The route and runways appear correctly, but after manually selecting an RNAV approach via the Ap-Dep Procedures panel — including selecting a transition and clicking “Load Appr” — no approach waypoints are injected into the flight plan list or shown on the main map. I've double-checked the following: • “Auto Load Recommended Procedures” is enabled in the Flight Plan settings tab • Runways are forced manually for both departure and arrival Navigraph AIRAC cycle is current and properly installed into Pilot2ATC_3_x64 • Tried both named transitions and “Vectors to Final” • Tried clearing and reimporting the flight plan • Verified the red approach preview line does appear in the Ap-Dep map before clicking “Load Appr” Despite this, no IAF/intermediate approach waypoints ever appear in the flight plan after loading. Is there a configuration step I might be missing, or is this a known limitation/bug in how P2A handles approach injection from externally sourced flight plans? Would appreciate any insight or suggestions from others who’ve dealt with this — especially if you’ve found a reliable way to get approaches to fully populate into the active route after importing from X-Plane.

This allows you to fly the route and have the approach determined as you get near the destination. You can press the Activate Approach button anytime, but it's best to wait until you start the approach or vectors because ATC expects you to fly the route without the approach waypoints until you get cleared for the approach or start getting vectors to it. In the next release (0.2.2), the Activate Approach button will provide a more accurate depiction of the intended path. Dave
