Anyone had experience with DigitalStorm for custom PC builds

Featured Replies

I’m looking to buy a new Video/Audio workstation with some AI workloads:

Wondering if anyone has experience with them or any indirect experience?  They are one of the few willing to warranty 2X 5090 water cooled and do custom hardline cooling.  Normally I’d do my own builds, but getting old and value time more as I get older.

I know video editors hang out here sometimes.  Also posted in a few other video editing focus forums.

Rob.

EDIT: Also considering 8 channel PRO setup with 7 PCIE5 slots but that’s AMD PRO series CPU … AMD 9960X CPU seems to be best for DaVinci Resolve but not sure best option for any AI workloads?  Originally was going to go with RTX 6000 Pro 96GB VRAM, but discovered that DaVinci Resolve will actually work better with multiple GPUs (hence 2X 5090).

Yes, my wife's current computer is a Digital Storm with a 12400K, 4060, 1TB and 32 RAM.

Their build quality is very good and support is exceptional.  We bought from them after my daughter had 2 systems built by them.  Computer is packed very well for shipping.

They are expensive, though.

Ryzen 9 7900X, AsRock Taichi B650e, MSI RTX 4070 Ti Super, 32GB G Skill Flare, 850W PSU, 4TB WD 850 SSD, Win 11 Pro, 27" 1440p MSI monitor

Awesome feedback, thank you.  Yes they are a little pricey about $16K for the build I spec’d out.  DigitalStorm support contacts have been excellent and very responsive and they know their stuff from my email/chat interactions with them.
