Anyone know what causes this?

I loaded up Whiting Field South in Milton Florida in FSX and all the runways, taxiways, and aprons are sunk into troughs. It's not the normal mesh issue because the whole airport isn't sunken, just the runways and taxiways, etc. And the taxiway signs are floating in the air.I can slew up to Whiting FIeld North and all is fine. But I move back to the South field and it's all screwed up. I've never seen this at any other airport. BTW. the elevation of the North field runways is 199, the elevation of the South field runways is only 178, which might be the problem but I don't know how they would be changed. I have no add-on scenery in this area. I have UTX, GEX, FEX, and FSGenesis mesh and landclass. If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it.Here are some pios:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/193315.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/193316.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/193317.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/193318.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/193319.jpgJim

the problem is that the default fsx places a single airport background that covers both the north and south parts of Whiting. the elevation is set at60.66 which is right for north, but too high for south (54.25). The fix is to create a new airport background for south using ADE or SBuilderX. There seems to be a slight hitch in that there is a taxiway which goes between the two fields. If maintaining a good taxiway there is important, it might be easier to just raise Whiting south to 60.66 -- your call. Attached is a quick and dirty fix.scott s..

With ADE, it's rather easy to change the altitude of the south field to 199.00 (feet) to agree with the north field. This seems to take care of all problems.ArtBiostar TF560-A2+, Athlon 64X2-6000+, 4GB RAM, Geforce 8800GTS-320MB, 500W PSU, 250GB HD, FSX(SP1-SP2), Audigy SE sound, Vista Home Premium 32 bit, CH Yoke & Pedals, 22" WS LCD monitor

Scott, your file worked great. The taxiway between the North and South fields does not need to be functional, so all is good now. Thanks a lot.JimDell XPS 420 Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0 ghz3 gb dual channel 800 mhz DDR2 RAM512 mb nvidia 8800GT500 gb SATA drive 7200 rpmSoundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Music22" Acer widescreen LCDWindows Vista Home Premium
