New crystal light start up?

Featured Replies

Good evening -

I got everything installed and working - just wondering in what order do I get the CL and PC up and running in msfs2020.

I plugged in and started all of the stuff needed to run the headset I forgot what to do first.

I have Pimax Play , Steam and MSFS Auto FPS and of course my AMD 7 7800x3d - RX 9070 XT.

Thank you in advance for your indulgence and assistance.

At least on my rig, it will work whether I start Pimax Play before the sim or I forget and don't start it until after the sim is already loaded in.

This is 2024, though, and I wasn't using a Pimax when I was still on 2020 so your mileage may vary.

You won't break anything experimenting with this, so go ahead and see what works.

Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light

If the Pimax play software is showing the Crystal Light connected, run MSFS2020, make sure you've got a joystick or something, with a button that's bound to the command that will take you into VR (as you won't see your keyboard with the headset on!), and another button bound to reset the view, to the normal cockpit view, and you're good to go.

Not sure I'd go for auto FPS from the word go, see what you get without any tweaks for starters?

Also a million words have been written about all the setting adjustments available, but maybe just go for the bog standard settings of low, medium, high, ultra, to begin with, see how they look, Asobo would have put in a lot of work tweaking those settings, they're a good starting point.

Gawd! Just noticed the original post was from August last year!☹️
