August 17, 2025Aug 17 The beautiful British De Havilland DH104 Dove was one of the post-WW2 great successes. It was a short-haul liner that was popular around the world for civil, corporate, private & military operators. We’ll look at the aircraft in general, & then follow the life of one particular aircraft as a case study. Hope you enjoy. Cheers. August 17, 2025Aug 17 Thanks for putting this great plane on the stage. The real life Dove D-INKA shown at the end of the video was based for a couple of years in Mönchengladbach EDLN and used for sightseeing flights. Later it moved to Essen/Mülheim EDLE, again doing sightseeing flights. I happened to be on one of them from EDLE to Norderney EDWY in 2016. Because of the large windows one had a great view of the land passing by below us. I reproduced this flight on FSX (with a Dove from Just Flight) and published an article about it in the German FS MAGAZIN (6/2016). Unfortunately these flights are not offered at the moment. I believe it has to do with the lack of original spare parts needed for the certification. Ruediger von Oehsen Win11Pro - i9 10900KF - RTX3090
