how to install PMDG 737 NG liveries in 2024

Featured Replies

I have tried to figure this out for a few hours no with no luck.    Obviously I can drag the pmdg 737 folders over to the MSFS2024 Community folder but this only gets me 1 livery for each type of airplane.

I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zx7GJA9UUQQ&t=31s    At 2:34 it tells me to take the UserCfg from FS2024 and place it into the AppData/roaming/Microsoft Flight Simulator folder.  I assume this UserCfg file is the UserCfg.opt file found in C:\Users\aniir\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

After pasting that file.  I opened up PMDG OC3 and when I hit Download on a livery it just stays at 0% then PMDG OC3 becomes unresponsive.

Does anyone have a current method for installing PMDG 737 liveries into MSFS 2024.  The base package is in there and working.

Trying to move over to FS2024 but its been a long day of only scenery working corectly 80% of the time.   I'm also trying to figure out how to succesfully install the FBW A380 but im more worried about the 737NGs.

This is going to take a few hours a day for a week.

Thanks in Advance.

I may be wrong however I think OC3 doesn't handle the B737 until it's made available by PMDG for MSFS2024.

In your posted  vid the YouTuber is using OC2.

Regarding the A380, maybe you can point the installer configuration setting towards MSFS2024 community folder and just install as per MSF2020.

Well yes, and that is why I specifically stated that I'm trying to get it to work with OC3.  Are you suggesting that I have to go back to OC2?  Or are you just riffing.  Have you been able to install PMDG 737 liveries with OC2 recently?  I had to get OC3 to install the 777s into FS2024 natively.

What I'm advising is you cannot do it with OC3. maybe manually dropping and pasting but while I own the MSFS2020 version and did get it into MSFS2024 it was only by manual file movement.

The 777 is released officially for MSFS2024 and so controlled by OC3 , so you are meant to use OC3.

Guess I'll just install them in 2020 and move them over.
