I have a strange problem with my scenery files: The last one in the list (can't tell you the english name, since my install is in german, but it would translate to standard landmass or something like that) is truncated and then a lot of strange characters have been added.As a result (at least I think so), the british isle looks extremely block when it comes to borders and the ocean), and London Heathrow (from the standard install) is a black hole with red surroundings (texture error?).Do you know how I could possibly fix this without a complete reinstall? I suppose I have to know which file I have to alter back to a state where FSX can read the reference to this standard scenery file?

Which "list" are you referring to? The scenery.cfg file itself? Or something else? If you could say where you are seeing the entry, it would be easier to sort it all out. Also your operating system...XP, Vista, etc.Can you do a cut/paste of the entry and show it here also?FalconAF
