November 4, 200817 yr Hi thereI was wondering if there is any freeware programs/or another way to play a downloaded crew announcment on FSX. Please help. Thanks
November 4, 200817 yr All of the programs I can think of are payware, unless good old S-Combo can be made to work in FSX...You can try replacing, say, the fasten seatbelts/no smoking chime with your own recorded file, and that will probably work, as long as you have an aircraft that uses that chime (like the default CRJ).You can also try FSXPilot. It's an autopilot application, but it does have the ability to play stored .MP3 files if memory serves. http://81.169.129.72:8080/FSPilot/content/index_eng.htmlhttp://www.avsim.com/pages/1106/FSPilot/FSPilot.htmJeff ShylukAssistant Managing EditorSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM

November 5, 200817 yr >maybe you are looking for this>http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=41196>HI that's the same one I use I have it installed in fs9 but it works in fsx also. it takes some editing of the panel.cfg too add it to any panel you want. its a great program and it adds that extra to your flights. :) Cesar Martinez AMD 7800X3D RTX5080 NZXT N7 B650E | G.Skill 32GB DDR5 Samsung 980 Pro 2TB | Crucial MX500 (2×) | Crucial P3 Plus Monitor: Philips Evnia 34M2C6500 QD-OLED
November 5, 200817 yr You wouldn't. The chime is a .wav file, if memory serves (or is it an .ogg? I don't recall). You just record your own .wav, and rename it to the chime file's name and stick it in FSX where the chime file lives (back up the chime file in case you ever want it back). An .MP3 is a different type of audio file, used in this case by FSXPilot, not FSX. Again, you'd record your own file. The documentation in FSXPilot explains how to implement the .MP3. Jeff ShylukAssistant Managing EditorSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM
