GFA GLOSTER Gladiator

Featured Replies

I installed the FSAddon GFA Gloster Gladiator in the addon folder of P3D V5.4 and everything works fine except for no gun sounds.

Here is the xml file I built for it:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="AddOnXml" version="4,0" id="add-on">
  <AddOn.Name>GFA Gloster Gladiator</AddOn.Name>
  <AddOn.Description>Gloster Gladiator</AddOn.Description>
  <AddOn.Component>
    <Category>EFFECTS</Category>
    <Path>Effects</Path>
  </AddOn.Component>
      <AddOn.Component>
    <Category>SimObjects</Category>
    <Path>SimObjects\Airplanes</Path>
  </AddOn.Component>
</SimBase.Document>

As you can see the guns are firing but no sound. If I installed it in the regular simobjects folder and the sound in the sound folder and the effects in the effects folder the gun sound will work.

The panel file didn't have much of a clue

there was a gun installation readme (this addon was originally meant for FSX) but works fine in P3DV5.4

so I copied the file: "GFA GG BROWNINGS.fx" into the  EFFECTS FOLDER.

copied the file: "GFA GG BROWNINGS.wav" into the  SOUND FOLDER.

and that seemed to do the trick.

The "I" key was mapped to shoot the guns with flash effects.
