User Aircraft Not showing in selection menu in FSX

Featured Replies

When I add a aircraft (i.e Mike Stone A320) and then add his name under Manufacturer when I go to the aircraft selection area within the game where you can select your aircraft to fly, I open that menu and scroll down only to find that the name Mike Stone doesn't exist. Am I doing something wrong? If anybody can help me it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

Why are you changing the name of the aircraft Manufacturer?

Have you scrolled down under 'Publisher' rather than 'Manufacturer'? That is where the name Mike Stone should exist provided the entry ui_createdby="Mike Stone" is in the aircraft cfg.

If you scroll down under 'Manufacturer' then you should presumably find that particular A320 under Airbus.

I see that, but it still doesn't show up. Somethings wrong. I just can't see the problem. I just can't think whats wrong. I tried putting all menus to "All" but that does no good if the Aircraft isn't there. Well, I'll keep trying, something has to work. I'll keep you informed here.

I think I had the Mike Stone A320 in my FS9 days but I use the Aerosoft one in FSX so I can't give you any advice specifically on it from a user's viewpoint. I didn't even know that a version of Mike Stone's A320 was available for FSX and I can't find one to download online for FSX (only FS9) to try to replicate your problem!

Very strange that it is not showing up though! I can't help but think that there must be some minor glitch in the aircraft cfg causing this. Could you perhaps post a copy of the aircraft.cfg on here?

The cfg looks okay apart from the fact that there is no ui_createdby="xxxxxxxx" entry in the cfg so the aircraft will not be visible in the Publisher dropdown menu.

I assume this is a Dream Wings product so if you add the line ui_createdby=Dream Wings to the cfg then you should be able to find this E170 in the Publisher dropdown menu under Dream Wings. In the Aircraft manufacturer drop down menu it should be found under Embraer.
