Hi all. Yesterday I was watching a video from someone showing the different ways that my Quest 3 could be connected to my PC. It mentioned Steam Link, which I had never heard of before.

So I decided to try it. Getting set up and connected is effortless.

Not only that but I got the cleanest, clearest, sharpest image I have ever gotten in MSFS using that method. I was not expecting that result.

However, once in VR, I had no mouse whatsoever.

I read varying statements about ways to get the mouse to work in VR with Steam Link, but I have had no success. I don't want to try to use the Quest controllers to operate the cockpit. I tried and it was not a good experience.

I hate to give up on Steam Link because at least on my system I am getting a much higher quality image than with Virtual Desktop, but with no mouse I am kind of stuck.

Anyone else tried Steam Link. I was so impressed with it. But I need to find out if anyone knows how to have a mouse working when in it. I have tried both wireless mouse and wired mouse.

I am hoping someone knows something about this. And ifyou haven't tried Steam Link, I recommend at least trying it. The results for me have been far better than I was expecting.

Thanks.

I have a couple of the Steam Link boxes and will give it a shot. In the mean time try heading to here and see if anyone can help...https://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/

Also be aware the Steam will be releasing (3) new hardware device early 2026.

What I tried did not require any boxes to be purchased.

You likely will have better luck using a Steam Link box. They can still be had on Ebay. If you pick up the hardware the following comes in very handy....https://store.steampowered.com/app/440520/VirtualHere_For_Steam_Link/

There is even a Windows software version available from Steam. steam://openurl/https://media.steampowered.com/steamlink/windows/latest/SteamLink.zip
