Flight Planner

Featured Replies

Hi there fellow Simmers

Does anybody know of an easy touse flight planner program? I used a good portion of the WOAI flight plans but there are a few that weren't in there. I would just like to know if there is a easy to use flight planner to use. If anybody knows of one it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Lee,

I use SimBrief coupled with Navigraph but SimBrief can be used as a standalone utility to create flight plans. It is a very powerful for creating realistic flight plans. There are then multiple options available to export the completed plans to FSX depending on the format required by the aircraft you are using.

Hope this helps,

Bill

Does that require you to find all the AI aircraft listed  in the Aircraft section?  I don't mind if it has, It would be OK. I have alot of time for that and just curious.

I don't think it is actually intended for AI but, as I mentioned, there are multiple options available to download the completed flight plan in various formats, mainly for various addon aircraft, but these options also include the simple FSX flightplan format. SimBrief is freeware so you can download it, have a look at it, try it and see if it is what you need.

well bill, that didn't help. Mainly probably I may become a newbie at this. Another thing is, I have wanted to know maybe if anyone here would be able to edit some ADFACDs for me. A couple of the Big airports ike KMSP, KFSD, KMKE, KSAN. Those are just a statt a handful if anybody would like to edit them, it would be great. Bill, if you know of anybody who would be able to do it, let me know.

Hi Lee,

With regard to the flight planner, could you clarify whether you are using the flight planner for your own flights in FSX or whether you are trying to use it in some way with WOAI flight plans (as you mentioned WOAI in your opening post)?

As far as the AFCADS are concerned, you can edit these yourself using a freeware utility called Airport Design Editor (ADE) which I think is easy to use although there may be a short learning curve. Could I ask why you want to edit the AFCADs for major airports like those? Are they the default versions of those airports or addon versions?
