Bug or the programme was designed that way

Featured Replies

Guys, I have this... ‘I don't know if it's a problem or if the programme was designed that way’.

In this image, the route forces me to do a traffic pattern in order to land, which would be normal; so pilot2atc gives me instructions to do the pattern.

In this other image, since the route is in front of the runway, I should simply land, it would not be necessary to do a pattern, but pilot2atc tells me to do a pattern.

I also remember a flight where the airport's AIP said that the traffic pattern was non-standard, and pilot2atc gave me instructions to do the standard pattern.

Is there any way to correct this?

Coming in VFR, the default is to enter the VFR pattern on the downwind.  If you want a straight-in, you can request a visual straight-in from Tower, assuming there is a tower.

Pattern direction is not available in the AIRAC data, so P2A assumes a standard pattern.  You can set the Pattern direction in the DataMnt utility on the Rwys tab.

OK, so for this type of direct entry, you have to request it and not wait for pilot2atc to notify you.

I found the tab to configure the pattern, now I just have to wait to try it out.

Thank you
