November 1, 2025Nov 1 No they haven't. See the latest news on Techpowerup. Their was for sure some confusing communication from AMD's side. Although I appreciate Hardware Unboxed, they can sometimes blow a story out of proportion, especially Tim.
November 1, 2025Nov 1 Being loyal to component manufacturers is a fools errand. Being loyal to an employer is also a fools errand. Being loyal to a software/content providers is a fools errand. Employers, Manufacturers, Software/Content provides want your loyalty but have no intent of returning any loyalty. Buy what fits your budget and requirements at the time. Thinking of oneself as a loyal customer is not going serve oneself well. Loyal customers/employers exist only in the sales/marketing/recruiting world. There are of course a few exceptions, but it’s pretty rare these days. Trying to retro-fit RDNA 1 and RDNA 2 is expensive … both are Legacy support. Perhaps you didn’t realize this on posting the video but that person is actively promoting Win11 CD Key for $12 as one of his sponsors … that is a scam. His performance compare is also VERY misleading, you can clearly see the graphics settings difference (look at the motorcycle light and one side for 9070XT is 2160 but the other side is not defined. This video is VERY BIAS. But finally, dropping on-going support doesn’t prevent someone from playing a game (as this video claims), just don’t get optimization that simply aren’t possible in order technology. Seems more like a video of someone trying to define when support should stop … and that is not his decision. The “reconsidering” if it’s my favorite card all time threat seems childish. But he’s not upset about RNDA 1 … sorry just no consistency in this persons content. Not supporting Windows 10 … come on! November 1, 2025Nov 1 Author RDNA 2 cards are still on sale at some retailers, they now have sell them knowing what they know. Raymond Fry.
November 1, 2025Nov 1 Have you seen any reports of RDNA 2 cards not working in current games? RDNA 2 is 5 years old, most computer hardware will have a depreciation schedule of 3-5 years (also how the IRS defines it) of useful life. Software even less 3 years. So not supporting after 5 years is a pretty standard process of useful life for computer hardware. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. - Carl Sagan
November 2, 2025Nov 2 Author Nivida 20 series 8 years old still supported still gets game optimisation. still being used by some PC gamers. Raymond Fry.
November 2, 2025Nov 2 nVidia 2000 series are no longer getting optimizations, nVidia have transitioned the card to security only updates as of October 2025. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. - Carl Sagan

Not so it`s the 10 series that`s been dropped. I have a 2080 super in my other PC that I replaced with 4080 super in main PC. Raymond Fry.
