Aerosoft DC-8 is not visible in the aircraft list (P3D 4.5)

Featured Replies

Hello pilots

I need help. Today I bought the Douglas DC-8 for P3D 4.5 from Aerosoft. I installed it and I think the installation went well. The aircraft was installed directly under Lockheed Martin. Aerosoft DC8 folder. The aircraft is not visible in the list of installed aircraft. I have the Airbus and the Tomcat from Aerosoft and they work. What can I do to solve the problem?
Best regards

Julio

Please stop this posting. I reinstalled it and now it works. It's a miracle.

Yeah, I've made the mistake of not installing aircraft properly, it happens.  I'm glad you got it working.  I never tried the Aerosoft model, I have the Just Flight model because I wanted the older variants, but I can say that the DC-8 is a fantastic old school airliner that is fun to learn and fly.

Happy Flying!

I've actually just reinstalled my old P3Ds (2/3/4/5) and reinstated my FSX/SE so that I can see all these old aircraft again. I figured there's a lot of stuff on my HD that is never going to make it to MSFS or XP and I've got plenty of space, so .   .   .

JF's VC-10 and DC-8 were near the top of the ones I wanted to see again. Got them all running now and loving it!

There's nothing wrong with that, I have FSX:SE, P3Dv5, X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12, as well as MSFS 2020 and even FlightGear installed right now.  I like modern sims and old sims too, I enjoy retro simming.  It's especially fun rediscovering old FSX aircraft and other add-ons that I have always loved for years.
