November 16, 2025Nov 16 Wondering if anyone is experiencing a “system malfunction-engine malfunction” fs2024 error with Fenix buses. Sitting at an airport with real wx and very low vis and clouds base triggers a wear and tear increasing looking at dev mode and triggering fast count to lead this finally message and error. If I set manual wx and skies clear it solves by itself…
November 16, 2025Nov 16 Not sure i am correct, but i recall Fenix saying they modelled certain engine failures due to some weather conditions in winter when the engine is started for taxi, or during taxi. I would pop over to their Discord, or website for the explanation. AMD Ryzen 7800x3d 64gb DDR5, Sapphire 7900 GPU MSSI Tomahawk AM5 M/Board. 1x 4tb Crucial M.2 SSD, 3x 2tb Crucial M.2 SSD's
November 16, 2025Nov 16 It sounds as if you may be getting ice accumulation on the fan blades - Fenix is one of the few addons to model this. See here for details on how to deal with this: https://support.fenixsim.com/hc/en-us/articles/12446537545615-Flying-Fenix-in-Icing-conditions
November 16, 2025Nov 16 Author This was just vacating runway after landing,w+e anti ice was on below 10.000ft because we met ice conditions, the failure was not showed in fenix failures panel, only in fs2024.
November 16, 2025Nov 16 Maybe one should disable the effects on the self-defined fs2024 weather effects and let Fenix do the job by itself, at least when flying the Fenix(?). I believe there's an option for it in the fs2024 settings. Learning to fly gliders since 1980Stopped using flightsims for good since early August 2026, after 34 yrs using some really great specimens... If I'm asked to name the preferred one, after all these years, MSFS 2024 is my answer without hesitation.(No desktop :-// after the last one crashed for good, so no simming, but I keep polling AVSIM - my main ludic activities spot since around 2006...)
