November 18, 2025Nov 18 Hi all, What are you guys using in NCP? I have "Prefer maximum performance" But am wondering if... Texture filtering - ansiotropic sample option " " - negative LOD bias " " - trilinear optimisation Low latency option are recommended these days? A guide recommended them a while back, but am wondering about your experiences (especially if any these induce the dreade blurries). Thanks for any advice, Rudy
November 18, 2025Nov 18 Moderator Blurries suggest your settings are higher than your hardware can cope with. Post your hardware please. CPU, GPU etc. Plus which version of P3D? November 19, 2025Nov 19 Author Hi Ray, I am not plagued by blurries (except in Western Europe near no particular airport from time to time for some reason) - just don't want to make the chance of them any worse! I am keen to know if the settings I mentioned are useful or could make performance worse basically. For the record, I have a 6700K @ 4.5 GHz (HT off), 16GB RAM, and a Nvidia 1080 (8GB) graphics card. Run 4K @ 30 Hz (lossless scaling no good for me - not enough GPU overhead to manage it) and I can generally happily maintain 30 FPS with careful settings here and there. Cheers, Rudy
November 19, 2025Nov 19 Moderator Rudy, can you provide screenshots of your scenery settings please. If you’re getting 30 with that modest hardware I suspect your settings are about as good as it’s going to get. 4K is very demanding for a 1080. Be aware that because of recent law changes in the UK some may show a placeholder, not the image. Ray (Cheshire, England).
