Winwing 737 MCP and EFIS Combo Falls Forward

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just bought the PDC.L.3N and PDC.L.3M (left and right Boeing EFIS) to add to my PAP.N.3N (737 MCP). I previously used my MCP on my desktop and had the brackets mounted on the sides so it stood up well.

Now that I've added the two EFIS units, I had to move the mounting brackets to the back and the combined unit is too heavy to stand up with the brackets mounted on the back so it falls forward.  I don't want to permanently mount or stick it to me desk, any thoughts on fixing this other than figuring out a way to add a ton of weight to the bottom / back of the brackets (or any thoughts on how to add weight?)

I could put a few shims under the MCP unit but that's an inelegant solution to say the least.

Thanks

Thanks, I'll take a look at that, that's far more helpful than winwing support which just directed me to the manual and when I pointed out I was following the manual and it still wouldn't stand up they said they can only support installation methods in the manual 😑

That does look quite nice, do you find it's quite stable with the pedestal being in the centre only?

I remember his YouTube channel, was one of my favourites in the past.

It's very stable.  It doesn't move at all when I turn knobs etc

Thanks for the tip on the stand @YukonPete.  Mine arrived quickly and does the job perfectly.  I highly recommend it for anyone having the same issue.
