USB Button Boxes Get Confused

Featured Replies

I have two USB button boxes from different manufacturers with different numbers of buttons.  2024 recognizes each as USB box 1 and USB box 2.  When I assign a command to each button I add it to the same profile for that particular box, assign it to all airccraft (or general), make sure there are no command conflicts and save the changes. But the next time I fire up the sim MSFS somtimes (but not always) forgets and thinks the button is from the other box and assigns it to the command from the other box.  Is there a way I can get the control button to "stick" to that box permanently?

Forever indebted to the late Michael Greenblatt of FSGS.

I use FSUIPC to assign my devices a letter designator that stays paired with the device's unique GUID, and program the buttons there (which also prevents Azure burps from wiping out my control configs).

Axis and Ohs may well have similar functionality.

If you have the boxes connected via a USB hub, you might try moving the devices to separate USB ports on the PC.

Good advice-thanks!
