[SOLVED] SU4- Not possible to remove clouds from main map

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Like everyone else, I'm loving the performance boost that SU4 has brought!

Buuuut.... I have a new issue that is driving me mad!  I'm wondering if others are seeing the same issue.

A pet hate of mine is when the weather (clouds) are displayed on the main map (where you choose your departure and destinaton airfields).  The clouds cover up everything I want to see on the ground when positioning my plane at a suitable spot.

In SU3, I could click on the large map filters button on the right on the map and choose the next map option up the list from the bottom default (sorry not at my sim right now). All of the clouds would disappear from the map.

With SU4, that same map view option no longer removes the clouds, and I could not find a single option in the list of filters, to turn off weather/clouds from the main map view.

Am I missing something?

Is there some other way I'm not aware of to remove the clouds from the main map display or are we now unable to remove the clouds for some strange reason?

Thank you so much for the screenies and information, Tuskin 👍

So it's a little tweak to how it was set up. I didn't used to need to go into 'advanced'.  But that's easily done and I'm so pleased I can still toggle the clouds off!

Thanks again.
