January 11Jan 11 Version: P2ATC v3 0.2.7A When ATC gives an approach clearance, the UI is not updated to remove the altitude restriction.
January 11Jan 11 Commercial Member The UI should be used like an EFB. If you get a clearance from the controller, you should use the GPS/FMS/Autopilot in the cockpit to make any changes in your flight. No need to update the P2A UI with altitude changes. If you get a clearance for a procedure like a SID or STAR that is not in your flight plan, you can enter that so you can see the new route on the map, but even that is not necessary if you fly the new route using your cockpit equipment. ATC keeps its own version of the cleared flight plan. Dave
January 12Jan 12 Author I don't quite understand. The top trip on the upper right of the UI, not sure what it is called reads: CALLSIGN ALTIMETER SQUAWK CODE ASSIGNED CTLR ASSIGNED ALT Lynch Air 5019 29.97 5665 Detroit Approach 124.050 8000 The next line ALTIMETER DESTINATION APPROACH 29.97 KDTW ILS-Z - RW22R - VALLI So if I am cleared for the approach, why does the top line still show an assigned altitude? Should that box not be cleared?
January 12Jan 12 Commercial Member Could be a bug, but it should be the last assigned altitude. 8000 seems a little high for most approaches unless you're in the mountains. I'll have a look at that. Dave
