January 11Jan 11 I once met Joe Foss at a Confederate Air Force air show in Midland Texas. He had a table where he was selling his book. I asked him to sign the centerfold of the air show program and he signed it to a 'Fellow Marine'. I had it framed and it hung on a wall in my den until I sent it to my granddaughter who is the collector of all the family's artifacts. https://www.militarytimes.com/veterans/military-history/2026/01/10/the-ace-of-aces-this-marine-corps-aviator-shot-down-23-enemy-planes/ When I joined the Confederate Air Force I was sworn in by retired General Tibbets who flew the Enola Gay and dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
January 12Jan 12 Great article Noel. Joe Foss was quite the Marine and a good man. He did a lot for others. Tom MAKA = Make America Kind Again
