January 23Jan 23 I posted this subject some weeks ago and received suggestions ranging from it will go away after a few MSFS startups to it will disappear after the next MSFS2020 upgrade. Well both have now happened. There was an update in the last 24 hours and I must have started MSFS 50 times (I am developing some scenery) since then . Everytime I start a flight the XBox controller displays while the flight loads. I know that this is just nuisance value but it never used to happen since I purchased MSFS2020. Now I am wondering could something have been triggered by the fact that I ran MSFS2020 from the XBox app just before this started to happen. I usually start it from a desktop icon which 'uses' MSGAME LAUNCH however at the time I was having problems with MSFS2020 and XBox as MSFS2020 often was telling me to "insert disk" and when I opened XBox it displayed that I was offline yet I could access any web site using any internet browser. In frustration I decided to try running MSFS2020 from XBox. Could that have set a flag or something which is causing the XBox controller to display on screen? If so what is the fix, and I am hoping its not an uninstall/reinstall? Thanks. January 23Jan 23 I was hoping...the issue (finally) disappeared for you, Jarnie... As I'd said, I distinctly recall seeing it a couple of times in MSFS2020 (never in MSFS2024), and it had gone away either via an MSFS Update or because of close/restart of MSFS, I cannot tell exactly. I did not have to uninstall/install the SIM. There is no indication anywhere either that uninstall/install is a definitive resolution for this issue. BTW, here is a thread right here in Avsim Forum, from 4 years ago about the exact same topic. The suggestions range from trivial, "use the loading time for putting cream and sugar into your coffee or tea..."...🙂...to more serious ones such as the execution of a "batch file code". See the very last post and contact the author if you wish. To me, it seems like one of those inexplicable (and annoying) things in the Asobo/MSFS paradigm...with no easy and proven fix... Cheers...!
