Is this considered micro-stutter? MSFS 2024

Featured Replies

This is only happening with the PMDG 777, 737 , and the Fenix A321 variant only. FPS is locked at 77. I've about tried it all. Disconnected and disabled all USB peripherals, tried with and without FSLTL, all third party addons turned off, cleared all types of cache, etc. Why only these 3 planes?

Yep, that's 100% a micro stutter.

Someone posted something similar this week and described it as 'rhythmic' or 'pulsing', just like you're seeing.

Can you rule out a 3rd party anti-virus package? (ie. you're not using one are you?)

Open the Windows Task Manager and check background processes that are running.  The last time I had a stutter like this, it was that the Amazon Music Unlimited app I'd recently installed, decided to configure itself to launch on boot up and was causing CPU spikes, even though it wasn't playing music.

No 3rd party antivirus. How did you figure out that it was the Amazon app? I have several running in the background but how to find the culprit?

In the performance page of the Task Manager, I could see something similar to this:-

(The CPU spikes)

I don't have too many non-Windows process running in the background, so the Amazon Music app became my chief suspect straight away.   On closing it, the CPU spikes were gone.

It may not be a background process but worth ruling it out before starting to look at MSFS settings that may be causing it.
