February 28Feb 28 Gibraltar (LXGB) is one of the most thrilling airports to land at but also one of the scariest for pilots. Its 6,000-foot runway being sandwiched between the 1,400-foot Rock of Gibraltar and the sea, causing severe turbulence and wind shear. Pilots face steep, non-straight approaches, intense crosswinds, and a short, sea-surrounded landing strip that requires highly trained, specialized crews. The MSFS 2024 landing challenge subjects you to strong winds that really throw the A320 around. My passengers were screaming and crying and clapped loudly with cheers of happiness when we landed.
