March 1Mar 1 With MSFS2024, I would like to have Littlenavmap load some scenery/navaid .bgl's into its database, so that I can see the NDBs contained therein on the map display. I notice in the LNP FAQ there is a line that says, Different NDBs with the same name and region cannot be loaded due to the limitations of SimConnect. Example BM/UH. This can break airways or procedures in some cases. ...I am not sure if this is the problem I'm running into, or not. I didn't notice anything in the documentation about this, except for the above, but I might have missed something. In Options|Scenery Library Database, I have selected the MSFS2024 Community folder...to include that folder when loading. Question#1...does selecting the Community folder automatically load data from all folders in the Community folder? Or must I specify each (sub)folder in the add-on's dir structure containing a .bgl? When I do a Scenery Library|Load Scenery Library, I have the same number of NDB's loaded, whether I have this add-on installed, or not installed (!), which makes me think I'm doing something wrong. -- Question#2 -- if the above not the correct place to specify LNP to load the navaid bgl's? The add-on whose NDB's I'm trying to load is called "NDB World", not that this should matter, but I'm noting it just to show that it's NDB's in .bgl files I'm trying to load into LNP. Excluding or including does nothing for MSFS 2024. Exclusions by path do not work because MSFS 2024 does not provide any paths via SimConnect. 8 hours ago, Mace said: When I do a Scenery Library|Load Scenery Library, I have the same number of NDB's loaded, whether I have this add-on installed, or not installed (!), which makes me think I'm doing something wrong. -- Question#2 -- if the above not the correct place to specify LNP to load the navaid bgl's? LNM does not read BGL files from MSFS 2024. Sorry, I'm completely dependent on Asobo's SimConnect interface and this lacks a lot. 🤷♂️ Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

So I could put these files in MSFS 2020's Community folder and LNP would load them? I don't know why I didn't think to do that. I just want to see what NDB's are in this add-on, ultimately I don't really care if the sim is 2024 or 2020. The '24 is a completely different animal since I'm forced to read all through SimConnect (with all its limitations 🙁). Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

Alex Setting LNP to read the 2020 database works -- as long as I placed the add-on in 2020's Community folder. The takeaway, if seems then, is this: If a person has a navaid add-on in 2024, and wants to see those navaids in LNP, they must place them in the 2020 Community folder and set LNP to display the 2020 navaids. I assume if someone does NOT have 2020 installed, they could place the files in a dummy directory and set LNP to load that folder? I have not tried that, but as long as LNP can read any folder it theoretically should work, right? Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

MSFS 2020 and 2024: totally different handling there by LNM. MSFS 2024 will read these navaids and will deliver them through SimConnect to LNM. Provided, these navaids are linked to a procedure or the airway system. Yet another limitation of the MSFS 2024 interface. MSFS 2020: LNM reads all from BGL files (which are not officially documented, BTW). Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
