Mouse pointer losing focus/disappears

I’ve been having this issue in the sim (FS2024) where my mouse pointer loses focus when, as an example, I’m scrolling through my flight plan on an FMC or MCDU and while clicking through the plan the pointer would just disappear after about three seconds or so. It doesn’t matter if I’m in windowed or full screen mode.

Another example is when I try to use GSX to request pushback and would have to push the selection twice because the first click is ignored. It’s almost as if the mouse is losing its focus.

I tried uninstalling drivers, unplugging the mouse to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions? I hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance,

Pete

Hope I'm not being overly obvious but, have you tried a different mouse, just to rule that out?

Thanks, mate. I finally found another mouse but it didn’t make a difference. Even when using the mouse clicking on something in the sim the pointer will disappear after about 3 seconds. Soo annoying. Thank you though 🍻.

In Accessibility settings, "Show the white dot..." and "Allow 2d cursor...". Perhaps checking or unchecking those may help. Actually, it sounds like you may have something set in your mouse settings that is telling it to stop displaying after a certain time frame.

I occasionally have the same issue as OP describes. It seems to shake out if I alt+tab to another window outside the sim and back.

Yesterday the sim loaded with everything just perfect, except no map (but could see airports/aprons), no world rendition whatsoever, just all black. 😂 Microsoft can be so amusing.
