Fenix A320: Struggling with managed descent

Featured Replies

For some reason managed descent isn't working right for me in the Fenix A320. When I try to set managed descent (no white dot appears) all the waypoint altitudes in the MCDU change to the minimum altitude I have set. So if I am currently at FL370 and I change to FL22, all my waypoint altitudes change to FL22 as well. I have tried it 10 miles before TOD and at TOD, but regardless invoking managed descent trashes my flight plan, and then I have no altitude references to manually descend with.

Anyone have this issue? If it does work for you, exactly what do I need to do to get managed descent to work?

Did you completely fill out both INIT pages during pre-flight?

Okay I will double check. I think I did but just in case I will try another flight tonight and pay extra attention to those pages. Thanks!

Yes, they were both filled out. Testing again.

Okay worked fine this time. I must have changed runways and then missed updating the init/perf pages. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, Chapstick!
