No SimConnect in MSFS 2024 and AAO 4.56b19

Featured Replies

I have MSFS 2020 (Store Version) and AAO 4.56b19 installed on my PC, and both run perfectly.
Now I have newly installed MSFS 2024 (Store Version) on the same PC. All installations are in the default directories.
When I start MSFS2024 and AAO, SimConnect does not connect.
I reinstalled AAO, hoping that would fix the issue. Unfortunately, it didn’t work.
It would be great if someone could help me out.
Thanks, Stefan

There is a separate variant of AAO for MSFS 2024 that must be installed as an additional app. Each AAO variant is a Windows application in its own right. Each has been compiled for the simulator it is meant for and has the appropriate SimConnect libraries. The AAO apps don't share any data, except for the folder in Documents.

Check your account in the shop where you bought AAO for the separate MSFS2024 installer.

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry about that—my mistake. I thought it worked similarly to other external apps that connect via SimConnect.
Thanks again, Stefan

All the SDK of the simulators are different, and their SimConnect variants have different capabilities. As a translator between your hardware and the SDK, each AAO variant must use the latest SDK and SimConnect released for the specific simulator. That is why there is a different AAO for each sim.
