I'm 50 hours into my career with EWG and it's really fun. So much fun that i quit using APL2 50 hours ago. And also in the 50 hours the career mode did get constant additions like fatigue and just recently you have to be on time according to your flight plan and have to have enough fuel left when landing. I like it a lot. And Hyno is a hell of a developer. Very fast and very open. If you are on the discord server, you really have the feeling you are part of the development and can have an impact

In comparison to APL2 it feels for me at the moment less like grinding

Thank you for that feedback ! 💙

Just putting it out there... if VFR is more your thing, check out skymate.ai. one time purchase and constantly updated with user requests. Really nice interface and does everything I was looking for in a VFR career-oriented app.

Hi everyone!,

I wanted to post a follow-up since it has been a little while since I first shared FlyHub here.

Since then, FlyHub has received several new features, data updates, fixes, and quality-of-life improvements across both Free Flight and Career Mode.

Some of the bigger changes:

  1. Improved operational scoring: FlyHub now has deeper SimBrief/OFP-based scoring checks, including MZFW, MTOW, MLW, takeoff fuel, landing fuel reserves, taxi speed, and Career departure punctuality. The goal is to make post-flight scoring less about just the landing and more about the whole operation.

  2. There have also been several fixes to runway detection, runway overrun logic, taxi-in speed handling, telemetry jumps, flight recovery, and completion reliability.

  3. Reserve duty rework in Career Mode: Reserve duty was completely reworked so it behaves more like an actual airline standby system. There are now different reserve types, callout reasons, standby pay, dynamic pay multipliers, reliability effects, and the option to actively ask Operations if reserve work is available while on duty.

  4. SimBrief custom airframe profiles: FlyHub now supports custom SimBrief airframe profiles. If you use aircraft with different layouts, engine variants, sim-specific profiles, or performance setups, you can save the SimBrief Internal ID in FlyHub and choose the correct profile when generating an OFP.

  5. Weather-based route discovery: Free Flight now has a Weather Scout workspace. Instead of only searching by airline, airport, aircraft, or distance, you can now search for routes based on live airport weather.
There are different modes such as Balanced, Weather Hunt, VFR Window, and VFR Out / Challenge In. It uses live METAR data like ceiling, visibility, RVR, winds, gusts, and crosswind components. It can also work together with the FlyHub Scenery Scanner so you can bias results toward airports where you actually have scenery installed.

There are also live weather leaderboards showing the best and worst weather airports at the moment.

  6. Network Events: FlyHub now has an Events section for VATSIM and IVAO events. You can browse upcoming events, find matching routes from FlyHub’s route data, filter by airline, aircraft, distance, or flight time, and book the flight directly.
If you book through the Events system and fly during the event window, it counts toward your FlyHub event stats. FlyHub can also verify your VATSIM/IVAO presence and award a larger event-network XP bonus when the flight is actually flown on the correct network.

  7. Live map and telemetry improvements: The live map flight card has been refreshed with more useful information, including scheduled/actual/estimated times, altitude, speeds, heading, simulator, and richer live telemetry for MSFS and X-Plane.

  8. Career Mode improvements: Career Mode has also received a lot of smaller improvements, including better base options for airlines with many hubs, improved relocation information, better handling of stranded legs, stronger recovery route logic, more reliable flight completion, earlier loan payoff, and better type rating handling.

  9. Tours and airline data: FlyHub route data has also been updated with flights up to May 2026 (with the June data coming soon) across the app.
Several new airlines and historical airlines have been added, including Cargolux, Cargolux Italia, Western Global, Air Serbia, Air Chathams, SKY express, Freebird, Citilink, flybondi, Akasa Air, BA Euroflyer, Blue Dart Aviation, and more.
Historical data was also expanded with airlines like BOAC, Continental, Eastern, Monarch, Mexicana, Sabena, Northwest, Pan Am, and TWA.

  10. A new batch of tours has also been added, including:

    1. World Cup 2026

    2. Champions League Tour

    3. Bundesliga Tour

    4. Aerolíneas Argentinas Tour

    5. JetBlue Tour

    6. LATAM Tour

    7. Alaska Airlines Milk Run

    8. Difficult Approaches I

I know the first thread had some fair discussion about pricing and subscriptions. I still appreciate that feedback. My focus with FlyHub is to keep improving the app, keep the data updated, and make sure both the free and paid sides continue to receive real value.

Thanks again to everyone who tried it, gave feedback, or reported issues. A lot of these updates came directly from community suggestions and bug reports.

Come join more than 4,000 registered pilots and a community that keeps growing every day. Trust me, you’ll have a lot of fun!
