How many times can the license be renewed when replacing the motherboard?
Am I understanding that this is not limited - correct ?

You are correct for any normal user. Obviously, there are some limits internally but this won't catch any normal user off guard. I hope you understand I won't go into too much detail as to how the licensing mechanism works but rest assured, your license request will go through.
