Challenger 350 Altimeter

Featured Replies

Hi

Why does the field elevation in the backup altimeter read correct at CYYC at 3560' when the altimeter set "B" key is used, but shows incorrect in both main altimeters at 0'?

Hi Peter

Thanks, but I did not re-post it, I double posted it by accident and could not find a way to delete one of them.

The field elevation at CYYC (17L) MSFS2020 is 3606 feet.

I tested with the Fx HondaJet first with ATIS altimeter setting of 30.00 and PFD and STBY altimeters read correct at 3606 feet.

Then I dialed a random altimeter followed by the "B" key and both PFD and STBY altimeters reset to 30.00 and 3606 feet.

Looks like your aircraft is the problem.

Thanks Vaughan

Yes the aircraft is the problem, this is why I am asking why and how to fix. Nobody has a clue and the developer does not offer any support.

This is the only aircraft that has this issue.

Doug,

You are welcome.

I was point out what you mentioned:

"Why does the field elevation in the backup altimeter read correct at CYYC at 3560'"

Is incorrect.

This is my home airport where I work, I can assure you both elevations would be considered correct, it is a very large airfield and depending on what end you are at there will be a few feet difference.

I suppose it doesn't matter anyway if only the tiny standby altimeter is reading field elevation and the main is reading 0.

Not talking about both elevations.

Just one, the Field Elevation (per your first post).

What is the field elevation of CYYC on your chart?

Edit: In my first reply I showed you where to check it (17L).
