February 22, 200323 yr The GMAX Support Forums seemed to disappear. Yesterday they were off-line. Today, there is some new website that has an Administrators side and a Personal WEB page side.Went through Discreet, but they don't seem to have a pointer to the forums either. So much for help from GMAX Support!! It'd be a real shame if we have to start over from scratch -- there was a lot of great information there. Bill, the message counter won't register any 'hits' at all until at least one response has been made. Your message may well have been 'viewed' a thousand times, but until someone responds, the counter remains at ZERO... :(It's a "still-not-working-right-yet" feature of this web forum package... :(I agree with you as far as the archives at gmaxsupport.com!!! If those are gone, a whole lot of us are gonna be lost.Has anyone seen if the website has been spidered by google lately, or one of the other 'history' archive websites?
February 24, 200323 yr Commercial Member That makes me feel better, Bill! I didn't know the forums didn't register views until a response was posted. Good idea about the history sites! I'm going to check right now, but I'm not sure if dynamic sites such as forums can be cataloged easily. We'll find out! In the meantime, at least it looks like the poor frazzled web admins at gmaxsupport.com are working to get things going again.thanks, Bill Womack ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Visit my FS Blog or follow me on Twitter (username: bwomack). February 28, 200323 yr Author Note that many web sites use a robots.txt file to exclude their forums from crawlers, especially if their forums are large (e.g. AVSIM's forums). So, if you don't see it archived anywhere, that's why.Peter http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/PeterR.gifBFU Forums Moderator

http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/logo75t.gifBush Flying Unlimited"At home in the wild"Looking for adventure?
