QNH issues.

Featured Replies

Hi Nico.

I have had a QNH issue for a long time, especially in MMMX. In this case the real METAR at this hour zulu, shown in the image, is 30.32, and PSXT is working with 29.79, a big differential that makes aircraft to land a mile before the runway.

I tested with RT App and RT Direct; in both cases, they are the same. The image shown is with RealTraffic and RT App to see the METAR feed.

Thank you for your support.

I've send it to Balthasar.

There was an error in the reported METAR.
I'll make PSXT more defensive, to overcome these situations.

Thx, Nico.

I was thinking about an option to put manually the correct QNH, this will be very helpful when we are just plane spotting and the baro is not changing on the fly.

I've checked at MMMX and did not see a difference with the official reported METAR. So what you have experienced is something that was extraordinary. I assume it does not happen very often, so not really a candidate for another option, I'm afraid.
