one throttle axis that controls 4 sim levers

Featured Replies

Recently, I downloaded the Pilot's Dash 7, which has 4 throttles and 4 condition levers. For obvious reasons, my throttle quadrant does not have 8 levers, so I've mapped 4 levers to each engine. Now, I am trying to map one lever to control all 4 condition levers. In MSFS 2024 it's pretty simple: it allows "all engines" for one axis. Somehow, I am having trouble finding a similar option in A&O. I've tried many methods, including writing a script. No success yet. Any help would be appreciated. tks

The MSFS SDK has commands for that too (...something...THROTTLE..., but without an index, which actuates all throttles simultaneously), which may correspond to what you are doing in the controller setup. You would have to try that out. Problem is, as always, that controller assignments in MSFS aren't really connected to the SDK.

In any case, you can have more than one assignment to the same hardware lever/button/whatever in AAO.
If you have 4 individual levers assigned now, just change them in AAO so they are all responding to the same physical lever. Personally, I would probably assign engine 1+2 to one lever, 3+4 to a second lever. Then I can have some form of differential thrust. Condition levers could be assigned to one single physical lever either with combo buttons or using the AAO control layers, so you can still operate them individually by pressing an additional button or switching to the other layers.
