October 20, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hello, here is our new project : Ilyushin Il-86. To my mind this is one of the most beautiful aircrafts ever built. It starts to be better known in the West since many russian companies use it on international flights. Don't panic - only one crashed so far (without passengers) in 25 years of service !So, here is the visual model. This won't be a very complete package as there is no decent panel for it. Hence, no virtual cockpit... We'll wait for better times and probably make an update as soon as a good panel appears. Some people are already working on a custom flight dynamics. All classic animations - flaps, spoilers, spoilerons, gears, doors (13 !), flexing wings, deploying landing lights, moving stabilizer, opening APU intake and even red-heated breaking disks. The painting is yet not ready. There will be a blank texture for repaints and we'll include Sibir and Aeroflot into the basic package. This project is freewareDimitri

But when the breaking disks can heat to red ? Answer - right after the touchdown. So they shine when the spoilers go up and the aircraft is on ground (in case you deploy the spoilers to reduce your speed in the air, it would be strange to see the disks heating). See the screenshot.BTW, no virtual cockpit doesn't mean no dynamic wing views.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/44466.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/44467.jpg
