Yes, I saw him do the Shrike Commander show in the early 70s at Kissimmee (finished with a deadstick landing out of a loop), and again a few years later at Oshkosh, where he also performed in his P51.

Kent Peitsch does the same or similar kind of thing in a 1942 Interstate Cadet.... I've seen it at the Winnipeg Airshow in 2003 or 2004...Neat stuff... After the deadstick aerobatic routine, finished up by landing with someone (I think it was his son, don't remember) standing out on the runway with his hand held up and stopping with the prop in his hand...http://www.pietschaircraft.com/media/
