October 24, 200520 yr Moderator Interesting find! I've seen type in the SDK, but have never seen it used in any panel.cfg that I can recall:type Specifies the type of the panel window. Valid entries are PANEL for aircraft panels, MINIPANEL for gauge windows shown in the Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
October 24, 200520 yr im the blind squirel remember, ill leave to you guys with good coding eyes to figure that out.i have not seen 'type' used in any panel before either, but it works very well, tolorates any numerical ident( have not tried string ident on it) and opens up neat possibilities for the minipanel.it also demonstartes yet another flaw in FSPS. its a good program and has saved me countless hours of placing gauges, but..FSPS does not like type parameters, and removes them from the panel cfg without prompting. so i have to manually write it back in after useing fsps.the program also does not allow multiple fixed view windows and removes them without prompting, even though fs9 accepts multiple fixed view windows.its probably a subject for a new thread, but in my searching though default aircraft i can across;draw_order00=gauge50, gauge60draw_order01=gauge51, gauge60draw_order02=gauge52, gauge60draw_order03=gauge53, gauge60in the baron 58 cfg.what is draw order, and why the repeating gauuge60?
October 24, 200520 yr It ensures that gauge50, 51, 52, 53 are drawn after gauge 60 to prevent conflicts with gauge60 overlapping parts of them.CheersShad
