August 26, 200619 yr Hey guys,If I have a turboprop, and have the stock MS Cessna 208 Caravan starter switch, what would keep the aircraft from starting? Is there something that needs to be in the config file? Many thanks in advance.Bill
August 26, 200619 yr hi bill, I haven't seen you on avsim ever, I didn't know you were a member here . (: . but back to the quetion bill, usely any gauge problems that involve not working in one and working in a other aircraft has to do with cfg. Go through the caravan cfg and look for a line of code that has to do with the starter (usely easy to know witch line of code is the right one)
August 27, 200619 yr Thanks guys,I'll check that route. Oddly, the fuel switch from the Caravan panel is also in this plane but doesnt function, (will not 'switch animate'). That must be the culprit. Many thanks and good to see you all.Bill

You have to hold the left mouse button down until it starts!I noticed the 'fuel switch inop' as well. I don't have an answer for that one yet, as I haven't taken the time to look that closely... ;) Fr. August 28, 200619 yr Hey Bill, I got that switch working. Its an electric pump and found in the 'fuel' section in the config file.Youre right though. It does start. I found it starts more easily if you adjust the far left upper red Idle lever to 'high idle'.Many thanks for the input.Bill
