October 25, 200817 yr My apologies if this is too simple a question, but my panel building needs are limited mainly to minipanels and what I can do in FS Panel Studio. I'm trying to create a simple minipanel for any of the Friendly Panels Boeing panels. I use either a 32, 24 or 16 bit .bmp of one of the instrument frames (bmp background created in Adobe Elements v5) and the mfd gauges in the latest release of FS Panel Studio for use in the Overland aircraft and I'm now getting crash to desktops whenever I load the minipanel up -- I can load the main panel view, but when I switch to minipanel, freeze, then CTD. I AM copying and pasting the gauges between the main panel window and the new minipanel window, but have never had a problem doing this before -- I've checked the panel.cfg and all coding put in by FS Panel Studio seems correct. I know some panel designers lock their gauges, but I don't know FP does this (I asked in my original, unanswered inquiry) but I would think I could at least use them in a new window inside the original panel.Thank you for any insight you can provide! October 26, 200817 yr It was too simple a question. These panels need to be loaded in full 2D mode with the MFD in rose or arc mode the first time -- and EVERY time.Sheesh -- what next? Nice little panels though. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. October 26, 200817 yr Author Moderator You can avoid the CTD on load by creating dummy entries in the VCockpit00 section of your panel.cfg file:gauge00=TheGaugeToLoad!MyGauge, 0,0,1,1If your panel.cfg doesn't have a VCockpitXX section, copy/paste one from any of the default a/c and remove all gauges from it, then add your ghost gauge entries.Any gauges defined in a VCockpit section will always load when in any view other than the 2d Panel view.
