GMAX textures

For a scenery I am redoing I am designing in GMAX and I am able to use original 512x512 bmps. When I use DXT1 then Airport does not recognise the api.Is this normal?Shez

No that was stupid question from me...*:-* When I use FSRegen to generate the api and compile with Airport the resulting 3d object does not seem to use DXT1 texture, while the same direct GMAX bgl created 3d object seems to apply the DXT1 texture. If I use the simple extended 512x512 bmp then it does get applied.Was just wondering if I was the culprit for doing something wrong.Shez

Humm, that is still very strange. I don't think FsRegen changes anything to the texture code, so the DXT texture should work fine. I have never had problems with my textures either.You are sure you didn't forget the mipmaps or that you also don't have the disappear texture on small object problem?Arno
