Regarding freeware scenery, occasionally I find that there are errors of mispelling in the menu selection when you "go to third party airport" in order to select airport scenery area files.Is there a tool available that will allow you to read the appropriate bgl file and correct or modify the text information?

I think you should decompile the AFD BGL then that came with the scenery (BGLAnalyze can decompile the AFD files for example), make the changes to the source and then recompile it using SCASM.Arno
