November 23, 200223 yr Commercial Member Just a quick message to let you all know that I put my bumpy tool on my site. This tool reads the source files and then produces a new SCA source with code to make your aprons and taxiways smooth. The advantage of this little tool is that you can keep the grass next to your taxiway bumpy. At the moment the tools supports Airport, GroundMaker and FSSC SCASM source files. I want to add ASD and Architect too, but first need an example source file for that.Well, better stop writing know, otherwise this post will become bigger then the entire tool :D. November 24, 200223 yr Sounds great Arn!ThanksShezBTW does it stop the autogen disappearing as happens with the invisible runway? November 25, 200223 yr Hi Arno, great news thanks :) Now tell me, what source file you need exactly for Architect? Do you need the Architect saved project or the BGL compiled with Architect?Actually I can send you a source file but let me know what do you need exactly and I will be happy to send you oneCheersMichel
November 25, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member I haven't tested that, but if the autogen dissapears because of the runway command, I guess it will help, as that runway is not there. If the autogen just dissapears due to the Area of the new scenery it will not work.ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. November 25, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member Would be nice if you could send that file. Please send the SCASM source file Architect makes (or a part of it if it is a big one :)).ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. November 26, 200223 yr Great work Arno! Thanks for sharing this with us. Until now I was doing this manually, but this tool will save me lots of time.D@mn... this GMax is really a pain! Can't even make one simple building! (Totally irrelevant! :-) )Fly safe,George DorkofikisAthens, Greece
November 26, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member While testing the Architect files Michel send me, I found out that the current version has a rather big bug (in other words it doesn't work). That's what you get when you change a small thing and think it will work (because you only changed a small thing) :D.So, here is a new version of Bumpy that solves the bug. Also I change the code a bit and now it should be able to read a SCASM file from any design program. Just let me know if that is not the case.I can not get on my homepage from here (I am in Brussels again), so I have tried to attach it to this post (as a text file, but please rename to zip again). I hope it works :).ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. November 26, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member Yes, it makes a serie of checks using AreaSense to find if you are on the polygon or not and with a SurfaceType command I set the ground to smooth. But please download the latest version, that I have attach to the post I just made here. Unfortunately the one on my website has a big bug in it.And about GMax, it's a bit hard to learn at first, but once you know it a lot I think you will love all the features it has. The first week it also frustrated me, but after that period.... :).ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. November 26, 200223 yr Arn,I just tried to run the tool and after opening the SCA file and identifying the textures when I click Generate it says Path Not Found. The next time it said Runtime Error. This was you latest version from above.Shez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"
November 27, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member Can you send me the file? I had one other report of this problem. But on my machine it works fine...., I guess it's something with a setting somewhere. I'll have a look at it....ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. November 30, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member The last version I posted here still had some little bugs, that gave problems on some PC's. I have just uploaded a new version (I hope bug free :)) to my website. Please download this latest version.ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.
