May 8, 200224 yr I can't seem to find Mike Stone's GMAX L-1011 in the file library.I see numerous repaints, but not the orignal aircraft. Can someone point me to it?Many thanks .... !
May 8, 200224 yr Try http://home.earthlink.net/blade201 instead.I switched ISPs a while back when I got broadband cable access and that's my old address. It hasn't been updated and may contain out of date stuff. I don't know why my old ISP hasn't removed it.Mike [email protected]
May 8, 200224 yr Hi MikeI downloaded the L-1011 package. When I try to open the zip file, I get an error, saying that 14 bytes of the package are missing.Could you repost the zip file perhaps?ThanksJim
May 8, 200224 yr Correctamundo...I checked and the L-1011 file was corrupt on the server. Two others were also. I've refreshed them all. Have to talk to my ISP about that if it keeps happening.Mike Stone
May 8, 200224 yr Mike,Is cable broadband any good? For $100 a month I could get 1 MB + speeds.or down to $29.00 a month for 256 KBI think it's too slow for the price.I currently download at work and burn CD's every Friday!! :-)
May 8, 200224 yr I believe the original files along with a very finely tuned *.air and aircraft.cfg file, panel and gauges are available as vvsl1011.zip at this site and at www.flightsim.com.If you do download this file, read carefully how to install the different folders. Bill Sieffert
May 9, 200224 yr Cable is great. I have the 768k package. I pay about $40 a month, and that includes the ISP charge and rental on the cable modem. Compared to $20 a month for 56k dial up, I consider that a bargain. There's just something about being able to download a 6 meg file in under 60 seconds.Mike Stone
