Dynamic objects problem

Featured Replies

Hi Dick, thanks very much for that. Of course, that extra bit of code in your post made all the difference. I finally got around to it last night and, after re-discovering the joys of the gmax exporter, Middleman and Fsregen, it worked beautifully. I was able to make a simple car in Gmax and have a couple of hundred running along my roads. With the next release of AutoAsm I'll include a library with some simple vehicles suitable for animated road traffic. I did notice one problem, though. Sometimes the cars were invisible, though their shadows still showed. Even stranger, if I switched to slew mode the cars appeared correctly! Best regards and many thanks, Chris

Hi Chris. The mysteries of Dynamic Scenery! I think part of our problem is the code for dynamic scenery is from FS5. And, it's possible the dynamic engine doesn't like floating point code, or perhaps other gmax-induced code.Play with it, and see what you get.Dick
