November 12, 200520 yr What is the easiest way to completely delete an airport that no longer exists in real life? Fairholt Airport in Vermont (VT48), for example, is now the back nine of a golf course. Brad2 miles from KELP/KBIFhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
November 12, 200520 yr You can remove airport runways, taxiways aprons etc by opening the airport in AFCAD2, deleting everything and saving the new AFCAD. To get rid of the airport polygon - the flat gass like area around the runways you either need to exclude it (it is in layer 7) or cover it up with new landclass at a higher layer or a textures polygon. To remove it from the list of cities and airports you need to edit it out of the appropriate APxxxxx.bgl - which is a default microsoft bgl - this is not recommended but if you are just doing it for yourself then I guess that is OK.There may well be other ways that I do not know about :) :) Jon ------- Microsoft Flight Sim MVP Airport Design Editor FSDeveloper.com
November 13, 200520 yr Author Thanks, I knew about the AFCAD mods. I was hoping there would be an easy way to keep the airport from showing up at all. not willing to mess with my AP files though.Brad2 miles from KELP/KBIFhttp://home.elp.rr.com/bmbanister/signature%20tag.jpg
