December 20, 200520 yr I'm working on my latest project, Miramichi Airport, and I'm having autogen probs. If I save a flight in top down view, all my autogen loads when I restart FS. If I save the same flight in cockpit, spotplane or VC view and restart, the autogen is gone again.Very strange. Anyone encountered this or find a cure? Thanks,Adam
December 20, 200520 yr I have.. I had similar problems while working on the last Mount St. Helens terrain imagery project. The only cure I had to was to constantly remember which bitmap was affected and reopen it in Autogen Annotator (the Art Martin version) and redo the autogen for that particular bitmap and resave it.That's the only thing I can think of for now.
December 20, 200520 yr This only works when using VTP polygons (DXT1 textures), I think it will not work on GMAX ground especially if you are using the higher resolution textures.I use GMAX polygons extensively and I do not think there is a solution for this except for replanting trees with any number of the programs available (TreePlanter, etc. etc.).Shez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"
December 20, 200520 yr Commercial Member Shez is right here. Autogen exclusion is a normal effect when you use old style ground polygons. For Fs2002 we found some code (with dummy RotatedCall commands) to reduce the effect, but I am not sure if it does not give strange side effects in Fs2004 :). The only other things to do is to keep your objects as much centered around their reference point as possible. And keep the v2 value as small as you can (so optimal value). December 21, 200520 yr Thanks guys. Arno, I'm still using the 2002 gamepack for my ground polys. I'll do a search for the dummy rotated call commands. Thanks,Adam
